  1. What is the warranty period for Nokia phones?
    Nokia smartphones come with Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty of 12 (twelve) months in India. Unless otherwise specified, the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty covers the hardware components of the product as originally supplied and does not cover, or partially covers, software, consumable items, or accessories, even if packaged or sold together with the smartphone.   2. What insurance plans are available for Nokia phones?
    There are 3 types of insurance plans available:

    1. Nokia phone insurance that covers accidental damages
    2. Nokia phone screen protection that insures against the screen breakage
    3. Nokia phone extended warranty that extends the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty.

    These plans can be purchased for 12 (twelve) month periods. All three plans are provided by Servify and come with their own specific Terms and Conditions. Nokia phone insurance and Nokia phone screen protection plans are available for a purchase within the first 15 (fifteen) days from the phone purchase date. Nokia phone extended warranty is available for a purchase until the last date of the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty period.

  3. Is there Nokia insurance for my Nokia smartphone model?
    You can check the eligibility for purchasing insurance and extended warranty for your Nokia smartphone from the My phone app that is already on your Nokia phone. Open the app and when prompted, grant the app permission to access your phone’s IMEI number. Then, navigate to “Support” > “Warranty and insurance” and log in with your mobile phone number. The insurance and extended warranty plans available to you will be displayed.

    You can also check your device’s insurance and extended warranty eligibility at https://nokia.servify.tech. Log in with your mobile number and select “Store” on the upper right corner, then select the type of plan you are interested in. Type in your phone’s IMEI number under “Check eligibility” when prompted. You can find your phone’s IMEI number by opening the phone’s “Settings” and navigating to “About Phone” > “Status” > “IMEI Information”.

  4. How can I purchase and activate Nokia insurance and extended warranty plans?
    You can purchase Nokia insurance and extended warranty plans via the My phone app on your Nokia phone or at https://nokia.servify.tech. In both cases, as long as the Nokia smartphone is eligible as per the plan terms and conditions, the plan is automatically activated at the time of purchase.

    If you have purchased a Nokia smartphone bundled with the insurance plan, then the plan is automatically activated for you by Servify. If you purchase the plan from the Nokia mobile online shop or from an authorized Nokia retail partner, then you will get an email and SMS message from Servify with the activation code. When you receive your code, follow these steps:

    1. Download the latest version of the Nokia My phone app on your newly purchased Nokia smartphone and log in with your mobile number
    2. Go to “Support “ > “Warranty and insurance”
    3. When prompted, enter the activation code

    Please note that you will need to activate your plan within 15 (fifteen) days of the plan purchase date.

  5. Can I purchase a Nokia insurance plan for my phone that is broken or was repaired?
    Nokia phone insurance plans are available only for non-defective phones with their specific insurance Terms and Conditions. It is advised to purchase the insurance plan soon after purchasing your new Nokia smartphone, because the insurance plans are no longer available if the phone gets damaged.
  6. Can I purchase a Nokia extended warranty plan for my phone that has been repaired by an authorized Nokia service center under the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty?
    Yes, you can purchase Nokia extended warranty plan for your phone until the last date your phone’s original Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty period. Please note that if your phone is repaired at an unauthorized service center and you purchase a plan, claims made under that plan will be rejected.
  7. What is covered under Nokia phone insurance?
    Under Nokia phone insurance, your phone is covered against the following:

    1. Accidental damage
    2. Liquid damage
    3. Damage due to fire, lightning, riots, and “Act of God” disasters
  8. What is not covered under Nokia phone insurance?
    The following are not covered by Nokia phone insurance:

    1. Damage due to negligence, gross misconduct or normal wear and tear
    2. Cosmetic damages (dent on outer body damage, stripping of colour, scratches, etc.)
    3. Software issues, malware and damages to accessories
    4. Any damage covered under the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty
    5. Any damage occurring within 7 (seven) days of the plan activation
    6. Theft or loss of the device

    Under Nokia phone screen protection, your phone’s screen is covered against:

    1. Accidental screen damage of the phone
  10. What is not covered under Nokia phone screen protection?
    The following are not covered by Nokia phone insurance:

    1. Any damage other than damage to the screen
    2. Damage due to negligence, gross misconduct or normal wear and tear
    3. Cosmetic damages (dent on outer body damage, stripping of colour, scratches, etc.)
    4. Software issues, malware, damages to accessories
    5. Any damage covered under the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty

  11. What is covered under Nokia phone extended warranty?
    The Nokia phone extended warranty covers the same defects and unexpected mechanical or electrical breakdowns covered under the original Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty.
  12. What is not covered under Nokia phone extended warranty?
    The following are not covered by Nokia phone extended warranty:

    1. Any accidental or liquid damage
    2. Repairs to the phone before the purchase and activation of the plan
    3. Any damage or breakdown that is not covered in the original Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty for the Nokia phone
    4. Theft or loss of the device

  13. Can I cancel my Nokia insurance plan after purchase?
    Yes, you can cancel Nokia insurance plan within 15 (fifteen) calendar days as of the plan purchase date.
  14. Can I transfer my Nokia insurance plan?
    No, you cannot transfer the plan to a different device or device owner.
  15. In what circumstances could I be denied coverage under my insurance plan?
    Your insurance claim may be denied if any of the following applies:

    1. If the plan activation is not completed as per the activation instructions given by Servify.
    2. If any damage or loss has occurred to the covered device prior to completing the mandatory activation process
    3. The damage has occurred within the first 7 (seven) calendar days of activating of the plan (known as the “Ineligible Period”)
    4. If any unauthorized modification is discovered on the covered phone

  17. What is the best way to maintain my Nokia smartphone?
    It’s advised to keep your Nokia smartphone in a dry location. Also, it’s best to ensure that the fingerprint sensor is not exposed to metal or sharp objects which may cause scratches, as this could inadvertently compromise the accuracy of the fingerprint sensor.

    Use the charger provided in the phone’s original sales box. This is because off-brand chargers may damage the phone’s battery thereby voiding the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty.

    Ensure the software on your Nokia smartphone is updated to the latest available software:

    1. Go to “Settings” > “System” > “Advanced”
    2. Select “System update”
    3. Select “Check for update”
    4. Wait for the search to finish and follow the instructions to complete the software update
    5. If your phone is up to date, you will see a message that reads “Your system is up to date”

    Keep all of your apps up to date by opening the Play Store app and heading to “My Apps and games”. This will check updates for apps and help to fix any existing app issues.

  18. How do I diagnose the health of my Nokia smartphone?

From the app, you can diagnose your smartphone’s health with “Device monitor” and check out the Frequently Asked Questions without the need to visit a service center.
  19. How can I get my Nokia phone repaired if I find an issue with it?
    If you find any issue with your Nokia phone, firstly check that your phone’s software is up to date. Secondly, open the Nokia My phone app and select “Device monitor” and run the diagnosis test. If the diagnosis results are inconclusive or an issue is detected, then you should select one of the following options to get your phone repaired:

    1. Request a pick-up for your phone or choose a drop off request in which you can submit the phone to repair at the nearest collection point or optionally
    2. Book a visit to the nearest Nokia authorized service center
  20. What is the process for requesting a repair for my Nokia smartphone?
    You should inform Servify about the damage through the Nokia My phone app or at https://nokia.servify.tech within 72 hours from the time the damage has occurred. You need to submit all claim related information and documents as mentioned in the Nokia My phone app within 7 (seven) calendar days of raising the claim or within the timelines as mentioned in the app or otherwise communicated to you by Servify.
  21. How long it takes to get my insurance claim handled?
    Generally, you will get your repaired phone back within 7-12 days from the time you submit all required information. This may differ according to the availability of parts.
  22. How much do I pay for the repair?
    If the damage is covered by Nokia phone insurance or Nokia phone screen protection (subject to fulfilment of mandatory conditions), you only pay the administrative fee indicated in the plan confirmation. You will be notified of any other charges not covered under the plan before accepting the repair. If the phone is covered under Nokia phone extended warranty, you don’t have to pay any additional amount on the repair (subject to fulfilment of mandatory conditions).
  23. Can I purchase both Nokia phone insurance and Nokia phone screen protection on my Nokia smartphone?
    You can purchase either Nokia phone insurance or Nokia phone screen protection on a Nokia smartphone, but cannot purchase both on the same phone. Please note that Nokia phone insurance covers against the accidental damages including liquid damage whereas Nokia phone screen protection covers against the screen damage – please choose the plan that fits for you. In addition to either of these plans you can also purchase Nokia phone extended warranty that extends the Manufacturer’s Limited Warranty by 12 (twelve) months.
