Information we collect

We receive and store any information you enter on Our website or give Us in any other way. You can keep certain information private, but you might not be able to take advantage of many of Our features. We use the information that you provide for such purposes as responding to your requests, helping you manage your requests, improving Our platform, preventing, or detecting fraud or abuses of Our website, enable third parties to carry out technical, logistical, or other functions on Our behalf and to communicate with you.

Details of any bank account (including but not limited to the account holder, account name and account number) during any -transaction/s initiated by you on Our Website/s and Application/s while using Our Services

Location, internet, and other electronic network activity information

Depending on the Servify services that you use, request or search, and your app settings or device permissions, We may collect your precise or approximate location information as determined through data and means such as GPS, IP address and WIFI.

Servify may collect location information when Servify App or its partner applications are running in the foreground. In certain regions, Servify may also collect this information when the Servify App or its partner applications are running in the background of your device if this collection is enabled through your app settings or device permissions.

We identify and use your IP address to help diagnose problems with Our servers, if any, and to administer Our Website/s and Application/s. your IP address is also used to help identify you and to gather broad demographic information.

Usage, internet, and other electronic network activity information

We collect information about how you interact with Our services. This includes information such as access dates and times, app features or pages viewed, app crashes and other system activity, type of browser, and third-party sites or services you used before interacting with Our services.

We also collect and use information regarding the duration of your stay on Our Website/s and Application/s and this is also stored in the session along with the date and time of your access.

When you use Servify’s Website/s and Application/s, Servify’s servers (which may be hosted by a third-party service provider) may collect information indirectly and automatically about your activities on the Website/s and Application/s; for instance, by way of cookies, web beacons or web analytics. This anonymous information is maintained distinctly and is not linked to the Personal Information you submit to Us and shall not be used to identify your Account.

Sometimes, We collect this information through cookies, pixel tags, and similar technologies that create and maintain unique identifiers. Web beacons are graphic image files embedded in a web page that provides information from the user’s browser. This allows Us to monitor and ascertain the number of users using the Website/s and Application/s and selected sponsors, advertiser website and for what purposes.

Web analytics are services third parties provide in connection with a website. We may use such services to find usability problems, making Our Website/s and Application/s easier to use. These services only collect information that you have voluntarily provided. Accordingly, these services do not track your browsing habits. If you contact Servify about our services or your contracted products and services, some information regarding customer calls or texts, including the date and time of the call/text and the content of the communications. Servify may also use this information for customer support services (including resolving disputes between users), for safety and security purposes, and to improve Our products and services and analytics.

We also receive information on your participation in any promotion sponsored by Us and Our Partner Brands and surveys that you complete through the Application or based on Our request

Information to conclude an agreed service

Our Applications and websites offer the possibility to conclude an insurance agreement, financing, trade in, sales, and claims with Servify. If you enter an agreed service with Servify, you may be asked to provide additional information, depending on the type of service.

Video uploads for damaged device claims

You may be asked to upload a video if you raise a claim for damage to your device. The video must identify you and your damaged device and will assist us in assessing your damage claim. This is the only circumstance where you will be asked to upload videos.

How we store your information

We operate regional storage hubs in the countries and regions where we operate.

We classify your information as confidential and, where required, make use of encryption, pseudonymisation and strict access controls to protect it.

In addition, We use state-of-the-art security measures to ensure that only those who need to use your information are allowed.

We evidence Our robust security through Our ISO 27001, ISO 27701, and AICPA SOC 2 Type-2 security and privacy compliance certificates.

If you are a potential candidate for employment with Servify, we may have received your personal information from our website, third parties such as recruiters or external websites. If you did not provide us your personal information directly, we will inform you of the source when we first contact you regarding your candidacy on request.

Children

Our services are not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect Personal Data from children under the Child age defined in law of the land unless (a) we have obtained consent from a parent or guardian, (b) such collection is subject to a separate agreement with us or (c) the visit by a child (as defined in law of the land) is unsolicited or incidental. Adults with Legal Guardians

Our services are not directed at adults under the care of a legal guardian. These third parties must protect your data and may be located wherever Servify operates.

We may disclose personal information that We collect, or you provide, as described in this Privacy Notice, in the following ways.

General information disclosures

We may disclose your personal information:

  1. To Our subsidiaries and affiliates, which are entities under common ownership or control of Our ultimate parent company Service Lee Technologies Private Limited.
  2. To a buyer or other successor in the event of a merger, divestiture, restructuring, reorganization, dissolution or other sale or transfer of some or all Servify’s assets, whether as a going concern or as part of bankruptcy, liquidation, or similar proceeding, in which personal information held by Servify about the users of Our Services are among the assets transferred.
  3. To fulfil the purpose for which you provided it.
  4. For any other purpose disclosed by us when you provided the information.
Service providers

We engage service providers to perform functions and provide contractual services to us in our countries and regions. We may share your information with outside service partners, including call centres, logistic partners, repair partners, that We use for a variety of purposes, such as to send you emails and messages on behalf of other Servify members, push notifications to your mobile device on Our behalf, provide voice recognition services to process your spoken queries and questions, help us analyse the use of Our Services, and process and collect payments. Third-party hosting services providers host some of Our products, services, and databases. We may also use vendors for other projects, such as conducting surveys or organising sweepstakes. We may only share information about you with these service partners to enable them to perform their services.

Payment service providers

We share your payment information with payment services providers to process payments; prevent, detect, and investigate fraud or other prohibited activities; facilitate dispute resolution such as chargebacks or refunds.

Insurance companies

We do not share your personal data with the Insurance Companies we use.

Finance companies

If you applied for financing via the App or Website, your personal data and information about your device would be shared with the Finance Company that arranges your financing. The Finance Company uses this information to conclude your financing.

Legal Purposes

We will share personal data with the required governmental agencies as per employment requirements.

We may share your information when We believe in good faith that such sharing is reasonably necessary to investigate, prevent, or act regarding possible illegal activities or to comply with legal process. If We believe disclosure is necessary or appropriate to protect the rights, property, or safety of Servify, Our customers or others. This includes exchanging information with other companies and organisations for the purposes of fraud protection and credit risk reduction.

Consent

We may share your information in any other circumstances where We have your consent.

Transfer of personal information outside of your jurisdiction

To the extent that we may need to transfer personal information outside of your jurisdiction or country, whether to our affiliated companies or Third-Party Service Providers or any other as mentioned above in the Recipients section, we shall do so in accordance with the applicable laws.

We will ensure that all transfers will be in accordance with requirements under your applicable local data protection laws by putting in place appropriate safeguards. You will have the right to be informed of the appropriate safeguards taken by Servify for this transfer of your personal information. These safeguards may require your consent to the transfer.

Whenever Servify shares personal data originating in your jurisdiction or country with another Servify entity, such sharing is lawful and in accordance with Applicable Laws, including all applicable Data Protection Laws.

Whenever Servify shares personal data originating in your jurisdiction or country with a third party which may or may not be a Servify group entity outside your jurisdiction or country, we will do so based on safeguards provided for in the local Data Privacy Law.

Keeping and deleting your personal data

We may need to keep transaction records for one or more of the following reasons:

  1. To fulfil statutory or other regulatory requirements.
  2. To evidence events and agreements in case of disputes.
  3. To meet Our operational needs.
  4. To meet any historical purposes.

We will only retain your personal data for as long as necessary to fulfil the purposes We collected it for, including for the purposes of satisfying any legal, accounting, or reporting requirements.

To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, We consider the amount, nature, and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure of your personal data, the purposes for which We process your personal data, and whether We can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal requirements.

We keep basic information about Our customers (including Contact, Identity, Financial and Transaction Data) for ten years after they cease being customers for tax and other regulatory purposes.

Personal data that is collected and subsequently never used for any business purpose will be reviewed and may be destroyed at Our discretion.

Once deleted, your personal data cannot be recovered or used.

Instructing us to delete your personal data

Servify will not execute any rights request if it cannot authenticate the requestor.

How to register a complaint

You have the right to register a complaint if you think your personal data has been inappropriately used. If you register a complaint, Servify will keep a record of its registration, progress, and resolution.

You may raise a complaint or grievance with Servify to which we will respond within seven working days.

Complaint step 2

If you are not satisfied with Our response, you have the right to register a complaint with your country's Data Protection Regulator.

Never share your personal data

We will not require you to disclose your personal or security details via email or other communication. If you receive any email, phone call, SMS, or other communication requesting you to share your personal/security/financial information, please do not respond to such requests and delete such requests immediately. Please forward such requests to data.protect@servify.com to notify Us of the same before deletion of such requests.

Beware of "Phishing" attacks

“Phishing” attempts to steal personal and financial account details from a website user. Such “Phishers” use fake emails to lead users to counterfeit websites where they are tricked into entering their details, such as credit card numbers, passwords, PINs etc. Please abstain from providing your details on such websites and immediately report such requests to Us at data.protect@servify.com. We shall not be held responsible for any loss or damage caused by responding to such emails and sharing information with unauthorised third parties.
